Shake It Up!
March 3-4

Hannah Rockey and Birgitta DePree reconstruct the Classics and introduce the poetry of The Bard in this delightful story of a time-traveling actor’s apprentice who leaves Elizabethan London and finds herself in the basement of Chester’s Playhouse in Colorado Springs. Excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliette are given the cartoon treatment as they sort out what is best about Shakespeare. Children of all ages will love the action-packed comedy as two hapless actors piece together the old and new of live theatre.

A secret door leads to the world of feisty fairies, wrestling Romeos, dueling dictionaries and all the wonderful wackiness of a kid-friendly Shakespeare!
