2023 SUMMER CAMP JOBS AT THE MILLIBO

Millibo is seeking TEACHING ASSISTANTS  and TEEN VOLUNTEERS to join the Education Team for summer camps.

  • Camps run June 5 to August 4
  • Positions available for both full day and half day camps
  • Positions available for one week to six week commitments

Millibo Summer Camp TEACHING ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

  • Support lead teacher with camp art projects, theatre games, and art activities
  • May be occasionally called upon to lead camp activities
  • Monitor snack time play under the outdoor tent
  • Assist with classroom preparation and clean up
  • Help check students in and out of camp each day
  • Engage with students and support their classroom success as requested

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and confidently

Qualification and experience:

  • Senior in high school or above
  • Summer Camp Experience and/or Performing Arts Experience desired
  • Enthusiastic and ready for anything
  • Ability to work well with children

Job Details:

  • We hire assistants to work for an entire camp week and schedule you according to your availability.
  • Below are the general hours for morning, afternoon, and full day camps.
    • Morning Camp: Students attend 9am to Noon – Assistants work 8:30 to 12:30
    • Art Camp: Students attend 12:30 to 3:00 – Assistants work 12:00 to 3:30
    • Afternoon Camp: Students attend 1pm to 4pm – Assistants work 12:30 to 4:30
    • Full Day Camp: Students attend 9am to 3pm – Assistant work 8:30 to 3:30
  • Attend staff training – date and time tbd – this is a paid training session

Job Pay:

  • $15 per hour

 


Millibo Camp TEEN VOLUNTEER

Responsibilities:

  • Work with teacher and teacher’s assistant to support in class activities
  • Assist with classroom preparation and clean up
  • Engage with students and support their classroom success as requested

  • On time and dependable
  • Enthusiastic and open to learning

Qualification and experience:

  • Ages 13 – 16
  • Summer Camp Experience desired
  • Enthusiastic and ready for anything
  • Ability to work well with children and staff

Job Details:

  • Dates: one to two-week sessions June 5 – Aug 4
  • Daily Hours
    • Morning Camp 8:30 to 12:30
    • Afternoon Camp 12:30 to 4:30
    • Full Day Camp: 8:30 to 3:30

Job Pay:

  • Recorded as Community Volunteer Hours
