Calling Colorado women playwrights, poets and performers
of all ages to submit entries for the
1st #WTF, Women’s Theatre Festival,
to be held at The Millibo Art Theatre during April 2018.
Recognized nationally as a company that demonstrates “the quality, diversity, and dynamism of American theatre.” the Millibo creates original, professional theater that challenges, inspires and entertains. This Spring the Millibo is exploring a new avenue to empower and engage artists and audiences by hosting an all-Colorado Women’s Theatre Festival. #WTF will be a 3 week long festival with special events celebrating and promoting the work of Colorado Women Playwrights.
The mission of the WTF is to support the many talented women creating theatre and performance art throughout Colorado by giving them a platform for their voices, their truths and their stories. The Millibo Art Theatre invites women theatre artists of all ages from anywhere in Colorado to prepare a piece for entry, accepting written submissions for stageable short work (between two and thirty minutes) inspired by the prompt:
“ #SHOUT #WHISPER #LAUGH ”

Selections will be chosen and playwrights contacted no later than mid-January.
Plays selected will receive a full production and three week run as part of the Millibo Art Theatre’s 2017-2018 Season. Auditions to be held this Winter
