For the past fourteen years the Millibo Art Theatre has been serving the Pikes Peak region creating adventurous productions that impact the imagination, widen the world view and reveal our common humanity.

The MAT has developed 46 original plays by Colorado performance artists and presented 136 new works that inspire, engage and challenge area audiences of all ages. The MAT’s Premiere and Kids First Series provide 14 new productions each season for 8,000 ticket holders. We’ve toured to over 1000 schools, libraries and festivals across the state bringing award-winning shows to audiences well beyond the theatre’s walls.

At the MAT students of all ages and skill levels have explored a new voice in dynamic theatre and circus classes. Professional performing artists have found a home for the creation of new plays and the staging of new work. We’ve become known as a “treasure in the community” and one of the “best kept secrets” of Colorado Springs. Now that we are part of the exciting downtown Ivywild development, the stage is set to grow this vibrant, creative, and successful community treasure
