Creating new theatre for the Pikes Peak region

MEET THE SUMMER CAMP TEACHERS 2025

We are so excited to have another wonderful teacher team for the Summer Camps 2025 at the Millibo Art Theatre. Some names might sound familiar from former years, others do not as we have a bunch of new team members:

BROOKE CALLAHAN is a theatre artist and teacher from Tennessee. Brooke has worked professionally in theatre for a decade as an educator, director, actor, and more across the United States. She is thrilled to be back again for another fun filled summer at the Millibo!

JEAN COOK is an actress, dancer, singer, and musician. A performer since childhood, she is studying Theater and Dance at UCCS and will graduate in December 2025. Outside of college, she is married to her wonderful husband, Brett, the choir director at her church, an employee of the Millibo Art Theater box office, and a member of the AF Reserves.

Fun fact: I used to have a pet squirrel (I have had 2 pet squirrels, actually)!

For the last 10+ years, ELIZABETH FLUHARTY has been learning, performing, choreographing, and teaching a variety of circus arts including partner acrobatics, aerial arts, and stilts. Thanks to more than a decade of saying “yes” to all kinds of adventures, the circus has become her life and passion. You can often find her performing all over the state or teaching classes at Mountain Shadows Aerial Silks and the MAT.

NANCY C HOLADAY has been a fixture in Colorado Springs theatre for many years, as a teacher, director, acting coach, and theater owner and producer. Her great passion is sharing the love of theatre with young actors and actresses as they discover the characters that live inside them, and the stories they can tell. She is most pleased to join the Millibo for this summer’s camp sessions.

CHRISTOPHER KELLER is a regular at the Millibo and you may remember him as the “old man” in the Millibo’s “Balloonacy” or as Troll Squish “The Snowflakey Princess”. Lead coach with the Millibo Circus Club, he graduated from clown college in 2009, and has traveled the U.S. performing in the big top as a puppeteer and continues to work hard to bring circus to all corners of the community.

ERIKA KNEBEL is excited to join Millibo this summer. She is currently a sophomore at Boston University’s School of Theatre. She has worked both on stage and back stage. Her favorite roles include Mrs. Peacock in “Clue” and Rhonda in “Almost Maine” both at Rampart High School. She found a love of theatre at a young age and finds joy sharing that love!

JODI PAPPROTH has been the one-woman Theatre Dept. at Cheyenne Mountain High School since 1994 where she teaches Drama, Advanced Acting, Improvisation, Theatrical Makeup, and Technical Theatre and directs between 3 and 5 shows a year. She has a BFA in Theatre Education from Drake University and an MA in Theatre Directing from Roosevelt University. Jodi has coordinated and taught at a variety of Youth Drama Camps in and around Co. Springs. She is a founding member of Springs Ensemble Theatre (SET) and is excited to play with The MAT this summer. “Play is really the work of childhood.” -Fred Rogers

HEATHER PITTS graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in Art History and a minor in dance from UCCS.  An avid skateboarder, Heather has taught dance to those as young as three and as mature as 65.  She has participated in dance intensives in New York City with the David Dorfman Dance co.  She recently appeared in a documentary performance on Jongo an Afro-Brazilian dance.

JOHN-MARK RANTAL has been making things up at the MAT with The RiP for over 15 years—and somehow they still keep letting him in. He’s taught dozens of improv classes and events focused on helping kids turn genuine nerves into big laughs, bold choices, and the kind of confidence that glows long after the stage lights dim.

Growing up with a passion for the stage, REGINA SPLEES’ journey began as a theater major, delving into drama, performance, and storytelling. Her love for theater extended beyond acting to connecting with others and expressing emotions in ways words alone cannot capture. A highlight of Regina’s teaching career was her time at a Waldorf School, teaching middle school. Waldorf’s creative and holistic approach allowed her to integrate the theater background fully into the curriculum.

SHARI SOLEM acted once or twice, but she’d rather be in front of kids rather than an audience. Shari has taught kindergarden through fifth grade in her 16 years of teaching, but she currently teaches 5th grade. Shari can’t wait to support kids in building creativity.

Fun fact: I once flew in zero gravity.
