Peter Sinn Nachtrieb gives us a hilarious answer to that question in his new play “The Making of a Great Moment”.  Actors Mona (Anna Faye Hunter) and Terry ( Michael Lee) are on an ambitious quest: tour their play “Great Moments in Human Achievement” across the country.

In a not-too-far-fetched nod to environmental consciousness or, perhaps, as punishment by a sadistic director, they are traveling from performance to performance on bicycles, pulling their entire show in little trailers behind them.

We are witness to their on-the-road trials and tribulations while catching glimpses of their great thespian talents as they enact obscure moments of “progress” in human history. A delightful mash-up of “Cunk on Earth” and “Monty Python” stretches the actors’ patience,  tests their dedication to the performing arts, and tries to answer a question all artists have grappled with over the ages, “When it is so hard, why keep doing it at all”?

Join Mona and Terry on their existential journey and there may be answers discovered along the way… There will most certainly be a lot of honest laughs.

Featuring some of the Millibo’s most beloved performers – Michael Lee and Anna-Faye Hunter.

“Colorado Springs theatre veterans Michael Lee and Anna Faye Hunter make a great duet. Their exchanges, often highly choreographed, call to mind Rogers and Astaire on the dance floor as much as acting. Their timing is spot on…” Judith Sears ~ On Stage Colorado
