We are seeking theatre teachers, classroom assistants and teen volunteers to join our Education Team this June and July for in-person summer camps.
The Millibo Art Theatre offers innovative and imaginative camps that encourage participants to dive-in and explore the endless possibilities of the Performing Arts. We inspire students aged 4 to 18 to build their confidence and explore their passions in a vibrant, nurturing camp environment that emphasizes community, discovery, independence, and fun.

Summer Camp THEATRE TEACHER
Millibo Art Theatre is seeking trained theatre artists to lead one and two-week, in-person camps in the performing arts for ages 4 through 18 ~ June and July 2021.
THEATRE TEACHER Job Details
Summer Camp THEATRE TEACHER
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare learning activities and guide campers towards art activities
- Differentiate activities for a range of age groups
- Follow our existing curriculum and make improvements as needed
- Use a range of instructional techniques and media consistent with available resources and student needs and capabilities
Personal Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- Sense of humor and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication and human relation skills
Qualification and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Theater, Education or equivalent
- Summer Camp Experience desired
- Prior Theater teaching experience
- Solid working knowledge of the concepts, activities and techniques related to teaching art at the required level
- Strong foundation in classroom management
Job Details:
- Dates: One and two week camps running June 7 – July 30
- Mandatory staff training 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday June, 2
- Camp tuition discounts for staff children available
- Daily Hours:
- Morning Camp 8:30 to 12:15
- Afternoon Camp 12:30 to 4:15
- Full Day Camp: 8:30 to 3:15
Job Pay:
- $25 to $30 per hour commensurate with experience.

Summer Camp TEACHING ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
- Support teacher as required with camp art projects, theatre games and outdoor games
- Occassionally lead theatre games and art activities
- Assist with classroom preparation and clean up
- Engage with students and support their classroom success as requested

- Strong organizational skills
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- Ability to problem solve quickly and confidently
Qualification and experience:
- Senior in high school or above
- Summer Camp Experience and/or Performing Arts Experience desired
- Enthusiastic and ready for anything
- Ability to work well with children

- Dates: one to two-week sessions June 7 – July 30 (must be available for the entire camp)
- Daily Hours: Morning Camp 8:30 to 12:30 Afternoon Camp 12:30 to 4:15 Full Day Camp: 8:30 to 3:15
