“THE LOST YEARS” marks the 5th anniversary since our lives were abruptly turned upside down by a global pandemic.
In late 2024, we asked Colorado-based playwrights to reflect on the start, the virulent period, and the continuing implications of COVID-19 as experienced here in Colorado. Millibo created a call for short form plays, performance pieces, and art that explored these tricky times. We are thrilled with the variety and quality of the responses we received.
We have selected six short plays to produce as part of the festival as well as one dance, two short videos, and the work of two local photographers, Allison Daniell and Lauren McKenzie, who captured intimate moments at the start of the pandemic.
That’s six Colorado playwrights, five local directors, one dancer, seventeen actors from Colorado Springs, two photographers, one sound technician, one lighting designer, one stage manager and two producers.
Join us on this theatrical journey that recaps the many memories, feelings and discombobulations that we shared and yet experienced very differently.
