WHAT
The Millibo Art Theatre invites people of all ages to create, experience and relate to the stories of our community as a performing artist or as an engaged audience member. For the past 16 years, we have provided the space, the training and the plays that bring people together to laugh and wonder, to cry and ponder on this marvelous human adventure.
WHY
The MAT enriches our community by bringing diverse audiences and artists together for a productive dialogue on what it means to be human. We are the only theater in the area devoted to creating and producing new, original plays for all ages. Whether we are producing a youth circus, a cabaret evening or new plays by women writers, the words ART and THEATRE are always inseparable.
NEEDS
A new on-site storage shed for props and sets, landscaping experts for creating a new outdoor play area, and a welder to create a new circus apparatus
DID YOU KNOW
The Millibo Art Theatre was one of nine small, regional theaters from throughout the country to be selected for a prestigious American Theatre Wing grant in 2017.
